Dajipur sanctuary and delightful surroundings of Kalammawadi and Radhanagari dams make this area spot of attraction. This is area of evergreen and dense jungles. It has rich store of medicinal plants. It is 1200 feet high from sea level and it rains here at an average of 300 mm. Wildlife of this jungle comprises of animals like bison, bear, tiger, leopard, horned dear, bhekar , salindar, wolf, fox, ,monkey, rhinoceros, mongoose, patkura, hyena and birds like parrot, maina, cuckoo , chitrak ,owl, peacock, ghar, bhardvaj, wild cock. Other tourist spots in Dajipur include Radhanagari, Kalammawadi dam, plain lands of Ramanwadi, Surangi Rasta. Maharashtra state tourism department arranges tours to Dajipur. Also tents and stocking material can be availed from Maharashtra state tourism department, Kolhapur office after paying appropriate charges. To get maximum enjoyment, it is always better to visit Dajipur in between November to May.
Maharashtra government is keen to preserve and maintain this wildlife. Also Maharashtra state tourism department has focus on Dajipur to develop it as tourism development centre. It has converted the youth office into jungle office. Also they have arranged for 'tent houses' or tourists. There are separate arrangements for meals, canteens, etc. There are direct buses running from Kolhapur to Dajipur arranged by Maharashtra state tourism department.
Efforts are being taken to develop a rest house making use of Radhanagari dam. In the surroundings, there is Sindhudurg district, Gagangiri maharaj math in the area of about 372 square meters which have been major attractions for tourists.
